Why Can’t I See My Google Calendar Notification In Google’s App?

Google’s latest update which should make their users’ lives easier has unfortunately been reported to have made many users’ experiences one of frustration. Removing the notification feature in Google Calendar, or any other apps which can send notifications, is just an unfortunate bug that they need to work a little harder on fixing. Under “Notifications,” enable “Calendar events.” You can also choose which calendars you would like to receive notifications from. Google Calendar notifications are not appearing in the Google App. According to Google support, there is a problem with the notification format that is being sent from the Google Calendar app to the Google App. Until this format is fixed, notifications will not be appearing in the Google App. One thing I am finding is that it may work better to allow users who want to be included in these alerts a “personal” link instead of requiring them to sign into the Google App with their Gmail account. This way they can control where they present their personal data and use the defaults of what will be shown vs what will not:My friend Josh Wegter has a very similar process set up which appears to allow him to get notifications via email including what app it lands on (a great example
