Google Calendar has become an integral part of our lives, and for good reason. It helps us stay organized, find important dates and events in a snap, and even warns us when bad weather is coming to disrupt our plans. But there are also some really cool features that many of us don’t know about! Check out these 11 ways you’re missing out on Google calendar and see how they can make your life easier.

Types of Calendar Views

Google Calendar gives you the option to choose among multiple views. The first view is a monthly calendar that shows the entire month at a glance. The second view is a daily calendar and it displays any events for the day in a list. The third view is called an agenda, which also displays events on a list but with time slots. A fourth type of view is called timeline and it’s like an interactive graph of your schedule over time

Share Your Calendar

Google Calendar is a program that keeps track of your time. There are many ways to use it, including sharing your calendar with others. When you share it with other people, they can see what you’re doing and send out invitations for events that you might be interested in. You can also see their calendars and make plans accordingly.

Clear Notifications

Google Calendar has a “clear notifications” button that will delete all unread notifications from the user’s inbox. This will help to clean up the inbox and it is especially helpful if you want to delete an old notification after reading it

Unsubscribe from an Agenda

One of the best ways to use Google Calendar is to subscribe to an agenda that is created by a group. This way you can monitor all of the group’s events in one place. But if you no longer want to see these events, unsubscribe from them so that the only events that show up are the ones that you have subscribed to

Use Location Awareness

Google Calendar is a great tool to help you organize your personal and work life, but there are many features that people don’t know about. One of these features is location awareness. This allows you to set reminders for appointments or events based on your location. For example, if you have an event in San Francisco today and are driving there now, Google Calendar will remind you when it’s time to leave so that you don’t miss it.

Manage Multiple Accounts Simultaneously

Google Calendar allows you to log in with more than one account at a time. This is especially useful if you use different email accounts for personal and work. The app will automatically update each account as you enter information, so it’s easy to see what’s going on at all times. You can even set up alerts for specific events or reminders so that you’re never late for a meeting or deadline again

Keep Notes for Later

If you’re anything like me, there’s a lot of conference talks you want to watch again. That’s what I use the Keep Notes for Later feature for. I find that it’s a great way to take notes in text or video format while also taking notes on what I’m watching so that I can go back later and review

Create Customized Filters

One of the biggest complaints about Google Calendar is that you can’t customize more than one event at a time. For example, if you have one event this morning and another this afternoon, there’s no way to see both of them at once. This can make it hard to keep track of your schedule when you have conflicting events. Fortunately, there’s a solution: create customized filters.

Hide and Restore Items with One Click

One of my favorite features on Google Calendar is the ability to hide and restore items with one click. I use this feature to show my current clients on the left side of the calendar, while hiding past clients from view on the right. It’s a great way to keep things organized.

Export to Excel or Ascii Files

One of the most helpful features in Google Calendar is the ability to export your events to a spreadsheet or an Ascii text file. The spreadsheet will show you how many events you have on each day, what time they start and end, whether they are repeating, and when they are next repeating. From there you can add notes about changes that need to be made. You can also see all of your events in one place without having them clog up your email inbox

Start a New Task
