Google unveils the next generation of Android, Android 13 (or “Go”) for the cheapest phones.

Google is back today with a variation of Android 13. It’s available on the Google Store and is built specifically for low-end phones. Ladies and gentlemen, meet Android 13 (Go edition).

Have you heard of Android Go? Well, there’s actually been a concept surrounding it for the last 5 years, with over 250 million total new devices being manufactured each month.

Android 13 (Go edition) is coming out with a focus on reliability, usability, and customization. The addition of Google Play System Updates will make Go phones attractive to potential customers because they’re able to receive important software updates outside of a major Android release.

Google Discover is now available on Google Go edition devices, giving you the opportunity to enjoy a consistent experience across all your devices. And, the new Material You design language is also making its debut, giving you the chance to create unique sides in your smartphone apps.

With Auto Themes, you can switch your system’s entire color scheme to match your wallpaper. It’s not automatic, though – you choose between four different schemes when you change your wallpaper.

New features in Android 13 (Go edition) include a notification settings and custom languages preferences. Devices running the Go edition should be available in 2023.
