Inbox by Gmail Makes it Easier to Share Travel Plans

Google wants to make your holiday travels a little less stressful.

The Web giant announced a few small but notable updates for its Inbox by Gmail app that should simplify the process of sharing travel plans and photos.

Inbox already offers a feature called Trip Bundles, which automatically pulls together all the various emails related to upcoming trips (like your flight booking confirmation, car rental, hotel reservation) and gives you the most important info (like flight times) at the top. Beginning next week, you’ll be able to share these summaries with friends and family with one tap, which should save you some time and sanity if you plan to travel this holiday season.

You can also now add emails to a trip using the “Move to…” menu, a feature many users have requested, Google said. Finally, you can also now view trips offline, just in case you run into spotty Wi-Fi in your travels.

Meanwhile, Google is also making it easier to share your holiday snaps.

“Improved mobile attachments give you quick access to your recent photos, and let you attach multiple photos at once,” the Web giant said.

These new features are rolling out to all Inbox by Gmail users over the next week. The app, which first launched in October 2014 to bring some more organization to your Gmail inbox, was initially only available to those with an invitation but is now available for all iOS and Android users.
