Google Chat Desktop Gets Dark Mode, Calendar Now Supports Time Rest
Google announced several updates to Google Chat and Calendar on Wednesday, including a dark mode and calendar support for time.
The dark mode is available in the latest version of Google Chat for desktop and Android. You can switch between light and dark modes by clicking the “Dark Mode” button in the main toolbar. The mode will apply to all conversations, groups, and rooms.
Calendar now supports time entries for weekly, monthly, yearly, and daily views. You can also add a due date for events or meetings. Date ranges are also supported. Events that are already scheduled will updated with the new time entry options. Details about an event can be found under the “Event Details” tab in Calendar. Calendar also supports reminders. You can create reminders at a time and location that allows you to have the calendar reminder pop up in a Chat window when it’s time to do something. A link to an event or meeting is required to make a Calendar reminder, but once set, those details are not needed anymore.Adding your Outlook Offline Address Book just got easier too!
